We see a net of prayer and intercession over the City of Lincoln. A net that brings together the individuals, communities, and churches already praying and that inspires others to pray for their street, neighbourhood, and city. This net is anchored at the City Gates where we are working to establish communities of prayer who take responsibility for their area. City Gates are the historic intersections and entry points to the city. Nehemiah encourages the walls to be built and the gates to be established. Praying at these city gates is a specific and intentional approach to seek the welfare and prosperity of the city through praying communities. This is across denominational and church lines and brings together the church to stand in unity and to pray together.
